Regional Scheduling Advisor

About the role

The Regional Scheduling Advisor supports the delivery of justice across the Central Region of New Zealand. Working from Hamilton, Tauranga or Rotorua, you will help allocate court time and judicial resources so that people can access the courts promptly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain court schedules that respond to changing demand and emerging priorities.
• Provide advice on the allocation of judicial time and court resources, balancing operational needs with judicial priorities.
• Analyse scheduling, utilisation and performance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Offer trusted guidance to Court Managers, Judicial Resource Managers, Executive Judges and other stakeholders.
• Build strong partnerships across courts, leadership teams and the judiciary to promote consistent approaches.
• Contribute to regional and national initiatives aimed at improving operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build strong relationships quickly.
• Deep understanding of court operations, judicial priorities and local community needs.
• Curious, proactive, solutions‑focused and comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.
