Remote Arabic Telephone Interpreter – Long-term

About the role

We are seeking qualified Arabic‑English telephone interpreters to provide real‑time language support over the phone. The position is fully remote, intended for long‑term cooperation, and open to candidates based in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret conversations between Arabic‑speaking individuals and English‑speaking clients in real time.
• Handle a variety of topics, including healthcare, financial services, government, immigration, and social services.
• Follow client instructions accurately while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
• Take concise notes and retain information throughout each call.
• Submit monthly invoices for services rendered.

Required profile

• Native or fluent proficiency in both Arabic and English (English at C1/C2 level).
• Previous telephone interpreting experience.
• Excellent listening, memory retention, and note‑taking abilities.
• Ability to remain neutral, detached, and objective.
• Residency in Kenya.

Required skills

• Laptop or PC with a stable internet connection.
• Wired headset with a boom microphone (wireless headsets or earbuds are not permitted).
• Quiet work environment suitable for professional phone calls.
