Remote Cybersecurity Specialist – Penetration Testing

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading Information Services firm on a contract basis. The role focuses on penetration testing to uncover and exploit vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and applications, helping to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, API, and cloud penetration testing.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, and identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and run custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports that document findings, exploitation steps, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation efforts.

Required profile

• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool development.
• Knowledge of security frameworks including OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Familiarity with network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud security principles.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly.
