Remote Data Scientist – Marketing Analytics

About the role

The Data Scientist will lead the data intelligence layer for a cross‑functional technology squad, delivering propensity models, customer segmentation, PAN‑based analytics, digital lift measurement and insight dashboards that power marketing and usage campaigns. This is a fully remote position supporting one of Andela’s esteemed clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a PAN extraction and pseudonymisation approach that complies with PCI‑DSS and data‑privacy regulations.
• Design, validate and deploy propensity models to identify high‑potential customers for digital payment acquisition and usage.
• Build customer segmentation frameworks using transactional, behavioural and demographic signals.
• Develop and maintain a digital‑lift measurement framework, including control/treatment methodology and statistical significance testing.
• Create and maintain analytics dashboards and reporting packs that provide clear visibility of campaign performance and model outputs.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend and API integration engineers to design and validate reliable data pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in analytics and statistical modelling.
• Strong understanding of data governance, PCI‑DSS and privacy compliance.
• Ability to ensure high dashboard uptime and data accuracy.
• Experience working in remote, cross‑functional teams.
