Remote Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud and on‑premises infrastructure for a global technology leader. The role ensures high availability, security, and scalability while working closely with development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Pulumi.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and implement improvements to minimize downtime.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation and compliance standards.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise cost, performance and scalability of services.

Required profile

• Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands‑on knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Datadog.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, load balancers and firewalls.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git) and disaster‑recovery or backup strategies.
