Remote Mechanical Engineer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis to develop and optimise mechanical systems for a global manufacturing leader. The role involves designing, analysing and testing components while ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and test mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and documentation using CAD software.
• Perform structural, thermal and fluid‑dynamics simulations to validate designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to achieve cost‑effective production and maintain quality control.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend design improvements based on test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with CAD tools and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science and relevant industry standards.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or AutoCAD (or comparable CAD software).
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Structural, thermal and fluid‑dynamics simulation.
