Remote PHP Back-End Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PHP Back‑End Developer to join a high‑traffic web platform on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining scalable server‑side services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PHP‑based backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Optimize existing code for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to integrate user‑facing features with server logic.
• Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, including database queries and API endpoints.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional PHP development experience.
• Proficiency with PHP 7.x or 8.x and modern frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
