About the role
Turing is seeking an experienced software engineer to work remotely on building LLM evaluation and training datasets. You will help create verifiable software engineering tasks from public GitHub repositories and assess LLM performance on realistic coding problems.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment preparation.
- Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
- Modify and run codebases locally to benchmark LLM bug‑fixing capabilities.
- Collaborate with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues.
- Optionally lead junior engineers on project tasks.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 + years of professional software engineering experience.
- Tech‑lead level competence with complex codebases.
- Familiarity with high‑quality public GitHub repositories.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap in PST.
