Reproductive Health Officer

About the role

Penda Health is seeking a dedicated Reproductive Health Officer to join its expanding reproductive health clinic. You will provide comprehensive reproductive health services, ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment, and help grow the clinic’s reach within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reproductive health assessments, including medical and sexual history, contraceptive counseling, and STI testing.
• Provide a wide range of services such as contraception management, pre‑conception counseling, pregnancy options counseling, and routine gynecological exams (Pap tests, breast exams, pelvic exams).
• Coordinate education and promotion programs with Penda Health teams.
• Maintain detailed patient records while complying with legal and ethical standards for confidentiality.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and continuous patient care.
• Offer virtual reproductive health consultations in partnership with Pigia Penda and medical centres.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the clinic’s reach and ensure its success.
• Stay current with research and best practices through ongoing training.

Required profile

• At least 1 year post‑training experience in reproductive health.
• Higher National Diploma in Reproductive Health, Comprehensive Reproductive Health or equivalent.
• Basic Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Bachelor of Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
• Strong knowledge of contraception, STI screening and treatment, and fertility treatment.
