Sales Accountant

About the role

The Sales Accountant at Oaklands Coffee Marketing Limited oversees the complete coffee sales cycle, ensuring that operational, financial and regulatory activities are executed accurately and on time. This role acts as the bridge between growers, buyers and internal teams, guaranteeing smooth processing from parchment reception to payment of proceeds.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow the Coffee Sales SOP, covering parchment reception, milling, clean coffee dispatch and invoicing.
• Generate invoices for successful bids, track payments and confirm receipts with bank signatories.
• Recover milling, transport, marketing and warehousing charges and prepare detailed proceeds schedules.
• Conduct regular stock reconciliations and share weekly reports with stakeholders.
• Register and manage direct sale contracts with the regulator, including preparation of inspection letters, movement permits and phytosanitary certificates.
• Prepare and dispatch sale statements to growers within two days of payment.
• Compile weekly grower stock status reports and monthly stationery/welfare requirements for internal departments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory of stationery and welfare items.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 + years progressive experience in finance, sales administration or coffee operations.
• Strong self‑management and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Swahili.
• Mature, pragmatic and flexible attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
