About the role

The School Support Lead (SSL) – Loan Officer will drive sustainable business growth for Jackfruit’s education financing solutions across Kenya. Reporting to the Team Leader, this full‑time position combines sales, credit assessment and client training to ensure strong loan performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new schools for Jackfruit’s loan products, meeting monthly acquisition targets.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with school leaders, acting as a financial advisor.
• Conduct thorough credit scoring and evaluate financial profiles of loan applicants.
• Process loan applications ensuring accuracy and compliance with lending policies.
• Train approved schools on loan management, repayment processes and project guidelines.
• Monitor loan performance, manage delinquency and uphold portfolio quality.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to assess credit information and follow lending procedures.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned area and conduct on‑site training.
