About the role
Security System Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of Siemens’ Smart Buildings. You will install, program, start‑up and commission integrated security solutions such as CCTV/IP cameras, alarm sensors and access‑control devices at customer sites in Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska.
Key responsibilities
- Commission new security systems on customer sites and document all commissioning details.
- Test and inspect existing security systems to verify performance.
- Plan work together with mentor, Lead Technician and Team Leader.
- Complete commissioning within planned timelines.
- Submit accurate time and expense logs.
- Work overtime when required.
Required profile
- Electro‑mechanical experience gained through a previous role or education.
- Understanding of network components and workstation/server operating‑system management.
- Ability to work in varied environments – ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, ducts, ceilings, and outdoor conditions.
- Physical capability to carry tools and equipment up to 50 lb unassisted.
- Minimum age 18 and a valid driver’s licence with limited violations.
