Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

ISM Engineering, an ISO‑certified construction firm in East Africa, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth of its modular and pre‑manufactured building solutions. Based in Nairobi, you will lead market expansion efforts and shape strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the construction sector.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market presence.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate the business development team to achieve targets.

Required profile

• Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
• Strong background in strategic planning, market analysis, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and modular building solutions is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
