Senior Consultant – Business Development

About the role

The Senior Consultant – Business Development will support Liaison Group’s growth agenda by identifying high‑value opportunities, building strategic partnerships and advising the senior management team. Working from the Nairobi head office, the role combines market analysis, bid preparation and mentorship of the business development function.

Key responsibilities

• Identify strategic growth opportunities and design market expansion strategies.
• Establish executive‑level partnerships with corporate, public and development sector stakeholders.
• Support proposal development and manage major bid opportunities, including preparation of bid documents.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor the business development team as needed.
• Submit monthly reports on opportunities, partnerships and secured business.
• Advise the Senior Manager – Business Development on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Insurance qualification such as AIIK, Dip CII, LOMA or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ experience in business development, insurance broking, consulting or client relations.
• Proven ability to secure strategic partnerships and drive business growth.
