Senior Manager - Human Resources

About the role

The Senior Manager – Human Resources will lead the HR function for Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu and its regional cluster. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Global Head of HR, the role shapes HR strategy to support the hospital’s growth, quality standards and accreditation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and programmes aligned with the hospital’s strategic objectives and the Aga Khan Health Services framework.
• Provide strategic HR advisory to the CEO, leadership team and department heads on all people‑related matters.
• Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning and retention initiatives to attract and retain high‑performing talent.
• Drive organisational development, change management, employee engagement and culture programmes that foster an inclusive, values‑driven workplace.
• Oversee performance management, leadership development and learning & development programmes to build organisational capability.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, institutional and quality standards while fostering positive employee and industrial relations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Proven ability to align HR strategy with business objectives and regional priorities.
• Strong track record in talent management, organisational development and change management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior executives.
