Senior PHP/Laravel Developer with Infrastructure & DevOps Experience

About the role

We are looking for a senior PHP/Laravel developer who also has strong infrastructure and DevOps experience. The role is fully remote and involves building, maintaining and modernising data‑driven, business‑critical applications while ensuring the reliability of the supporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain applications using PHP, Laravel, Filament and PostgreSQL.
• Modernise legacy systems, reduce technical debt and improve performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Design and maintain application architecture, APIs and integrations with internal systems.
• Maintain automated testing, static analysis and code‑review practices using tools such as Pest, PHPStan and Laravel Pint.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git and Gitea.
• Lead incident response, troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective measures.
• Administer a high‑availability Proxmox cluster and manage Ceph/CephFS, ZFS, Linux and containerised services.
• Maintain essential platform services (PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Gitea, web servers, Icinga, Grafana, Loki) and ensure their availability.
• Handle security, backup, recovery, capacity planning and monitoring to protect infrastructure and business continuity.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of professional software development and ICT experience, with senior‑level responsibilities.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PHP 8.x, Laravel (preferably version 12) and Filament.
• Deep understanding of application architecture, API design and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience in secure coding, automated testing and code‑quality standards.
• Practical experience with Git‑based workflows, Jenkins and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Hands‑on systems administration experience covering Linux, virtualization, containers, storage and monitoring.
• Experience managing high‑availability production environments and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Professional proficiency in English.
