Senior Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist (Higher Education)

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a senior Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist to support the implementation of the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II in Somalia. The specialist will work on strengthening the capacity of the higher‑education system for better coordination, regulation, and sustainability of interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll out national quality‑assurance frameworks for higher education institutions.
• Design and conduct institutional audits, self‑assessments, and external evaluations.
• Train QA officers and help establish QA units within universities.
• Ensure alignment with international and African QA standards and accreditation bodies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the core project team throughout the 36‑month implementation period.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in education, quality assurance, institutional management or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in higher‑education quality assurance and accreditation, including development of national QA frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing and conducting institutional audits and external evaluations.
• Track record of training QA officers and establishing QA units.
• Fluency in English; Somali language skills are a strong asset.
