Senior ServiceNow Application Developer – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Application Developer to lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of asset management solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Based in Kenya, you will work on Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) initiatives, helping the organisation gain full visibility and control over its technology inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation, configuration and maintenance of ServiceNow Hardware and Software Asset Management modules.
• Design, develop and operate SBOM solutions to improve software tracking and governance.
• Build and enhance ServiceNow applications to meet operational and business needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to gather, document and deliver requirements.
• Manage technology inventory, ensuring accurate and governed asset data.
• Apply ServiceNow administration and development expertise to optimise platform performance.
• Integrate Azure services with ServiceNow to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable fixes.
• Provide technical leadership throughout implementation and operational phases.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application development or ServiceNow.
• Relevant technical training, certification or degree in a technology or engineering discipline.
• Proven hands‑on experience with ServiceNow administration, implementation and application development.
• Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management.
• Experience with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) solutions and related processes.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform for enterprise asset management.
• Experience working with Azure and cloud‑based environments.
