Site Manager

About the role

The Site Manager will lead daily construction activities at Lipton Investment's projects in Nairobi, ensuring work is executed accurately, safely and on schedule. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate internal crews, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on‑site operations from commencement to practical completion, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
• Monitor construction progress against the baseline schedule, identify delays early and keep daily activity logs up to date.
• Control material, equipment and inventory, inspect deliveries and enforce security measures to minimise waste and theft.
• Enforce quality assurance standards and coordinate inspections with county officials, NEMA and NCA to achieve >95% audit pass rates.
• Implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures, conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain zero lost‑time injuries.
• Lead the site crew and manage subcontractor performance, attendance and payroll processing.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by senior leadership.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with at least 24 months of construction experience.
• Proven ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Familiarity with Kenyan construction regulations and agencies such as NEMA and NCA.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills for managing schedules, materials and teams.
