Site Manager – Solar Projects

About the role

Emtec Energy is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities on solar, battery storage and grid‑connection projects across the UK. You will coordinate contractors, ensure safety compliance and drive projects from construction through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities on renewable energy sites.
• Coordinate subcontractors and contractors to keep works on schedule.
• Monitor site safety, quality, progress and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, RAMS and company health & safety procedures.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety checks.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and commercial teams throughout delivery.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Support quality assurance, commissioning and handover activities.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks and site performance.

Required profile

• Strong site‑management experience in construction, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience on solar PV, BESS or grid‑infrastructure projects is a distinct advantage.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015 and site health & safety requirements.
• SMSTS certification and a relevant CSCS card.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Organised, practical and solutions‑focused approach.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay on site as needed.
