Solar Sales Representative – Experience Required

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to drive the growth of solar and energy‑storage solutions across Kenya and the wider East African region. The role focuses on building market presence, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering customized renewable energy projects for industrial and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the solar energy storage market in Kenya and East Africa, creating sales strategies and meeting performance targets.
• Establish partnerships with local power utilities, energy developers, and government agencies to promote project implementation.
• Analyse market demand and design tailored solutions such as off‑grid photovoltaic systems and commercial energy‑storage installations.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth project progression from bidding through delivery.
• Prepare regular market reports covering policy changes, pricing trends, and competitive landscape.
• Travel as required to support business development across the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the solar or energy‑storage industry with a successful project case in Kenya.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya and East African energy markets, including local policies and customer needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy Engineering or a related field; industry certifications are a plus.
• Kenyan citizenship or a valid work permit and clean criminal record.

Required skills

• Proficient use of CRM tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with data analysis software.
