Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to lead the design and execution of construction projects for Top Choice Surveillance Limited in Nairobi. The role combines office‑based design work with on‑site technical support to ensure structures are safe, compliant and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve structural designs for buildings and other structures.
• Ensure projects comply with legal, environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Prepare material schedules and select appropriate construction materials based on structural specifications.
• Monitor on‑site construction activities, provide technical guidance to workers and resolve design‑related issues.
• Track project progress, prepare reports and collaborate with site agents and the project manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Membership of the Institute of Structural Engineering.
