About the role
York Catholic District School Board is seeking enthusiastic Student Assistants to support the Summer Fun Camp program for July 2026. Assistants will help supervise and engage children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 during lunch and outdoor activities across multiple school sites.
Key responsibilities
- Support the lead instructor in supervising students during lunch breaks and outdoor play.
- Help plan and deliver non‑credit activities such as games, arts & crafts, cooking, dance, drama, science and coding.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for children of all abilities.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas.
Required profile
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Previous experience working with children of diverse abilities.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a team.
- Experience in a camp or continuing‑education setting is a plus.
Required skills
- Basic first‑aid awareness.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.
