Tax Analyst – Corporate Tax & VAT Specialist

About the role

The Tax Analyst supports the organization in managing its tax obligations and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. This role is responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns, reconciliations, statutory payments, and tax‑related financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end tax compliance, including filing Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, withholding taxes and other statutory returns, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Prepare tax computations, schedules, reconciliations and periodic reports, and resolve tax‑related general ledger variances.
• Provide tax analysis and advisory support on transactions, contracts, projects and operational changes, conducting research and delivering practical recommendations.
• Identify tax risks, conduct health checks, monitor adherence to policies, and drive continuous improvement of tax processes and controls.
• Support tax audits, assessments and regulatory engagements by preparing documentation, coordinating with authorities and implementing audit actions.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact, advise stakeholders and ensure timely implementation of required changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPAK or ACCA; additional tax training is a plus.
• Experience handling tax audits and interacting with tax authorities is advantageous.
• Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage) and solid understanding of tax legislation.
• Good knowledge of accounting, financial reporting principles, analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
