Technical Proposal & Bid Specialist

About the role

The Technical Proposal & Bid Specialist leads the end‑to‑end development of high‑quality technical and commercial proposals that support the company’s growth objectives. Acting as the bridge between Business Development, Engineering, Product, Project Delivery, Finance and Legal teams, the role designs winning solutions and prepares compelling bid responses for government, NGO, donor‑funded, corporate and private‑sector opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tender portals, procurement platforms and bid invitations; evaluate opportunities and recommend bid/no‑bid decisions.
• Analyse Terms of Reference, RFPs, EOIs and tender specifications to develop bid strategies and win themes.
• Lead the preparation of technical proposals for ERP, Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, Digital Transformation, Cloud Solutions, Systems Integration and Software Implementation projects.
• Interpret client requirements, develop technical methodologies, implementation frameworks, work plans and compliance matrices.
• Draft technical narratives, governance structures, implementation schedules, staffing plans and risk‑management approaches.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Project teams to design suitable technical solutions and map client requirements to existing offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading technical bid and proposal development for complex IT projects.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret client requirements and tender documents.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
