Technical Sales Engineer – Pumping Systems

About the role

TransAfrica Water Systems Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales of pumping and water system solutions. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to identify, develop, and close project opportunities across real estate, industrial, agricultural, and institutional sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new project sales opportunities within target client segments such as commercial building services, industrial plants, water utilities, government entities, agribusiness, and real estate.
• Maintain a healthy divisional pipeline and keep accurate records in the shared pipeline tracker.
• Conduct client outreach, technical presentations, and site visits to understand project requirements and position TAW solutions.
• Prepare technically accurate proposals, bills of quantities (BoQs), and system recommendations.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to confirm product availability, lead times, and pricing.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical support and ensure smooth handovers to installation teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of pumping and water system technologies.
• Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
