Technical Support Operator – Nyanza/Siaya

About the role

The Technical Support Operator will provide hands‑on technical assistance for vehicle‑related loan services. You will work directly with repossessed motorcycles and cars, ensuring they are inspected, valued, and equipped with tracking devices before they are returned to the lending portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles, documenting condition, damages and any discrepancies.
• Perform car valuations using standard industry techniques, considering make, model, year, mileage and market trends.
• Install GPS trackers on vehicles and ensure proper functionality, including SIM‑card installation for the devices.
• Carry out minor motorcycle repairs and collaborate with repair teams to resolve technical issues.
• Assist clients throughout the loan application process by providing clear technical guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, valuations, installations and repairs, and generate compliance reports.
• Uphold quality standards, safety protocols and identify any fraudulent vehicle modifications.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in vehicle inspection, repair or technical support.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Good knowledge of the Kenyan car market and vehicle technical structures.
• High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
