Trade Development Representative (TDR) – Kisumu CBD

About the role

The Trade Development Representative (TDR) will support a leading telecommunications provider by visiting retail channels in Kisumu CBD. The focus is on increasing retailer awareness, driving SIM and float turnover, and ensuring strong visibility and merchandising at points of purchase for SSO and T‑Kash agents.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and map mobile‑money outlets and high‑traffic retail stores as SSO and agents.
• Follow agreed beat plans to visit SSOs and agents regularly.
• Provide business tools, train agents on transaction processes, AML, and KYC requirements.
• Monitor stock levels, enforce the 1.5× stock rule, and ensure adequate SIM availability for registrations and activations.
• Develop and maintain merchandising standards by supplying and displaying merchandising materials at outlets.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales and distribution within FMCG or telecommunications.
• Strong customer focus, influencing and negotiation abilities, networking skills, and analytical thinking.
