Unit Sales Manager

About the role

The Unit Sales Manager will lead a sales unit within Britam’s distribution network in Kericho. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on driving sales of insurance and financial products while building high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set sales targets, develop plans and oversee daily activities to meet business objectives.
• Recruit, train, coach and motivate sales agents to achieve performance goals.
• Monitor agent performance, provide guidance on prospecting, client relationship management and closing sales.
• Conduct market outreach, organise client presentations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and collaborate with branch and regional leadership on sales initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven sales and business development experience in insurance, financial services or related sectors.
• Valid IRA licence and Certificate of Proficiency.
• Strong team leadership, recruitment, training and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.
• Analytical, planning and reporting capabilities to set objectives and track performance.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (preferred).
• Professional insurance/financial qualifications (e.g., ACII, AIIK, CFP) are an advantage.
• High integrity, regulatory compliance awareness and ability to thrive in a target‑driven environment.
