Warehouse Manager / Stock Controller

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Manager / Stock Controller to lead inventory management and warehouse operations at our Nairobi facility. The role combines strategic stock control with day‑to‑day logistics to ensure efficient, cost‑effective handling of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust stock control systems, including ABC analysis, to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical reconciliations, and audits to eliminate discrepancies.
• Track and report on slow‑moving, damaged, or obsolete inventory.
• Manage inbound, put‑away, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Optimize warehouse layout for space utilization and fast retrieval.
• Coordinate shipments with transport providers and suppliers to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery.
• Update and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and stock registers daily.
• Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity targets.
• Enforce health, safety, and security protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory control.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related field.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Advanced use of the MS Office Suite.
