Water Field Service Technician

About the role

The Water Field Service Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of water supply and sewerage infrastructure. This role involves direct interaction with customers, on‑site inspections, and support for water treatment plant activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operations and maintenance of water supply and sewerage networks.
• Process customer applications for water and sewer connections and address related complaints.
• Monitor network performance, conduct regular meter readings, and reconcile physical with online data.
• Perform quarterly physical meter maintenance, including servicing and replacement.
• Inspect ongoing water and sewerage projects, prepare inspection reports, and assist with project implementation.
• Manage monthly stock taking of connection materials and requisition supplies.
• Monitor tank water levels and take corrective actions as needed.
• Support water treatment plant operations and maintenance.
• Install, maintain, and repair water supply equipment and distribution infrastructure.
• Prepare proposals for water supply and sanitation improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Water Engineering or Wastewater Technology.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in water and sewer operations.
• Experience or certification in operating Butt Fusion‑Welding machines (preferred).
• Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards.

• Operation of Butt Fusion‑Welding machines.
