Weighbridge Supervisor

About the role

The Weighbridge Supervisor ensures accurate weighing of all inbound and outbound trucks at the distribution centre, supporting inventory integrity, dispatch accuracy and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Deputy Lead Dispatch, the role works closely with transport and warehouse teams to streamline loading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the weighbridge to capture precise truck weights.
• Validate weights against SKU specifications and flag any deviations.
• Maintain digital logs and generate daily inbound/outbound weight reports.
• Coordinate with transporters and warehouse staff to confirm truck arrivals and readiness.
• Escalate weight discrepancies, delays or safety concerns to the Deputy Lead Dispatch.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and arrange calibration or maintenance as needed.
• Provide insights on overweight trucks and missing documentation.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for weighbridge operations and reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in weighbridge operations or logistics coordination.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and high integrity.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow up on operational issues.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar reporting tools.
