Accountant – Finance & Import Documentation

About the role
The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, process payments, prepare reports and manage import documentation for a leading importer and distributor of fine wines and premium food products in Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and perform daily bookkeeping.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and conduct account reconciliations.
- Process and load supplier and other payments accurately.
- Handle importation documents and coordinate related financial records.
- Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper filing of financial and import documentation.
- Support audits and perform other finance‑related duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA(K) qualification (mandatory).
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, payment processing and import documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Immediate availability.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software.
