About the role
The Assistant Unit Manager will support the Unit Manager in driving branch performance and ensuring that both short‑term and long‑term objectives are met. This role combines operational oversight, team leadership, and client service within a micro‑finance environment.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and improve branch performance across all key performance indicators.
- Lead and coordinate the team while overseeing company processes.
- Resolve conflicts and manage staff discipline in line with standard operating procedures.
- Assist in training new staff members.
- Provide support to clients both in the field and at the office.
- Ensure achievement of short‑term and long‑term company goals.
Required profile
- Degree in any business‑related field.
- Strong managerial and organisational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Disciplined, dedicated and able to meet deadlines.
- At least one year of experience in a micro‑finance institution.
- Proven capability to grow a portfolio and retain customers through effective collection tactics.
