Associate Programme Management Officer

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an Associate Programme Management Officer (P2) to support its Resource Mobilization & Donor Relations (RMDR) Unit in Nairobi. The role contributes to UNEP’s strategic priorities by enhancing knowledge management, communication, coordination and outreach related to funding and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Support knowledge management and communication on UNEP’s funding needs and opportunities.
• Coordinate outreach activities with donors, partners and internal programme teams.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Office, Communications Division and relevant programme teams.
• Report to the Head of the RMDR Unit and assist in strengthening organizational coherence and partner engagement.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background and experience in programme management, resource mobilization or donor relations.
• Ability to work in a multicultural UN environment and coordinate across multiple divisions.
