Automation and Process Control Engineer

About the role

The Automation and Process Control Engineer will design, program and deploy automation solutions for Heineken East Africa’s production lines in Nairobi. You will ensure reliable operation of control systems while maintaining safety and cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and implement automation and process control systems, including PLC and control software.
• Maintain reliable operation of automation equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and asset management.
• Implement cybersecurity measures, manage patches, backups and incident response for the Process Control Domain.
• Ensure compliance with safety, legal and industry standards, conduct risk assessments and drive mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Controls & Automation, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance planning, spare‑parts inventory and system lifecycle.
