Automation Engineer (Manual Testing Focus)

About the role

We are looking for an Automation Engineer who will primarily focus on manual functional, regression and user‑acceptance testing while also supporting existing automated test suites. The role combines hands‑on testing of web and API applications with the maintenance of automation scripts created by the automation team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual functional, regression, integration, smoke and UAT testing across multiple applications.
• Design, prepare and run detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Log, track, retest and close defects using defect‑management tools.
• Validate business and system requirements against delivered functionality.
• Run and maintain existing automated test scripts and analyse execution results.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers and automation engineers.
• Participate in test planning, estimation and reporting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Strong experience in functional, regression, SIT and UAT testing.
• Practical exposure to automation tools and existing automation suites.
• Experience in defect lifecycle management using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
• Basic API testing knowledge using tools such as Postman.
• Preferred experience in banking, financial services, FinTech or enterprise systems.
