Automotive Technician – Tyre Management System Intern

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Automotive Technician interns to support our Tyre Management System (TMS) operations across several locations in Kenya. This internship offers hands‑on experience in tyre inspection, maintenance, fleet operations and the use of specialised tyre management software.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation, operation and continuous improvement of the Tyre Management System.
• Capture and maintain accurate records of tyre usage, inventory, wear trends, repairs and maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily tyre inspections, including pressure checks, tread depth measurement and defect identification.
• Prepare worn‑out tyres for retreading, repairs or proper disposal.
• Fit and refurbish rims, monitor performance of new and retreaded tyres, and coordinate tyre rotations, puncture repairs and replacements.
• Maintain records of tyres and batteries issued to customers and generate operational and technical reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering (mandatory).
• At least one year of exposure to tyre inspection, maintenance or fleet management.
• Basic knowledge of Tyre Management Systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑focused attitude with attention to detail.

• Monthly stipend ranging from KSH 15,000 to KSH 30,000.
