Business Development Officer – Member Recruitment & Growth

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive the growth of RUPSA SACCO by attracting new members, mobilising deposits and share capital, supporting product development and expanding the institution’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit new SACCO members and increase deposit base.
• Mobilise share capital and promote financial products.
• Support the design and launch of new services aligned with strategic goals.
• Represent the SACCO in the market to enhance brand visibility.
• Prepare short, medium and long‑term work plans and performance reports.

Required profile

• Age 25‑45 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Registration with the Marketing Society of Kenya is an advantage.
• 2‑3 years experience in sales, marketing, business development, brand or relationship management.
• Demonstrated leadership, team‑building and customer‑service orientation.
• Experience in a SACCO banking environment is a plus.
