Merchant Acquisition Agent

About the role

The Merchant Acquisition Agent will grow the SME business by increasing book value, tills, assets, and account numbers. The role relies on aggressive sales strategies and strong relationship management to expand digital payment networks.

Key responsibilities

• Selling tills, accounts, CTO, loans and deposits mobilisation.
• Planning and tracking daily sales activity and reporting to the Team Leader.
• Mapping and scoping business opportunities within the catchment area and coordinating sales activations.
• Making presentations to prospects, including individuals, schemes and business owners.
• Conducting customer interviews at branches or on‑site to understand needs and offer appropriate products.

Required profile

• A degree in a business‑related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking with direct responsibility for SME sales.
• Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills.
• Analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and selling abilities.
• Leadership and management skills are an advantage.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with the MS Office suite.
