Business Development Officer – Nairobi

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and self‑motivated Business Development Officer to join our results‑oriented team in Nairobi. You will play a key part in driving sales of insurance and financial products, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sales plans with the Business Development Team Leader and General Manager to meet revenue targets.
• Provide recommendations for business growth and resolve client issues.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries about our product portfolio.
• Prepare product quotations for new and existing customers.
• Design creative strategies to retain clients and expand the customer base.
• Stay informed on business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.
• Manage customer calls and appointments to generate new opportunities.
• Meet prospective customers to sell insurance and financial products.
• Progress into a team‑leader role and assume related responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a business‑related field.
• Experience in insurance or banking product sales is an advantage.
• Highly energetic, aggressive and target‑oriented.
• Strong communication, organizational, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• High integrity and a collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer applications.
