Business Development Specialist – Life Sciences & Healthcare Litigation

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will support marketing and business development initiatives for the Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory and Product Liability Litigation practice groups. The role focuses on pitches, proposals, legal directory submissions, and event coordination while collaborating with attorneys and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of RFPs, pitches, and proposals, from planning to submission.
• Collaborate with attorneys and marketing colleagues to create client‑focused materials.
• Coordinate research, data, and pricing inputs with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain records of submissions and track outcomes.
• Support Business Development Managers with strategic marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and client development efforts.
• Collect and prepare information for legal directory submissions (e.g., Chambers, The Legal 500, Law360).
• Organise logistics for in‑person and virtual events, including conferences and webinars.
• Maintain and update the firm’s CRM and experience database, creating targeted contact lists.
• Assist in drafting newsletters, client communications, and updating marketing collateral.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in business development, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience working with legal practice groups or professional services firms.
• Strong collaboration skills with attorneys, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
