Clearing and Forwarding Operator (M/F)

About the role

The Clearing and Forwarding Operator will manage end‑to‑end export documentation and cargo booking for Africa Global Logistics Kenya’s clients in Nairobi. You will act as the main liaison between customers, shipping lines and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Receive client orders, verify documentation and request missing information.
• Update clients and internal monitoring system on file progress in real time.
• Process export documentation and book cargo with shipping lines.
• Arrange transport for container stuffing and delivery.
• Track vessel arrivals, handle invoices and submit them for approval.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical file archives.
• Escalate operational issues to management and the IFFOS when necessary.

Required profile

• Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience in clearing and forwarding.
• East Africa Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate is an advantage.
