CNC Operator

About the role

BURN is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to set up, program, and run CNC milling machines for the production of high‑quality tools, jigs, fixtures, and prototype components. The role works closely with the Tooling and NPD/NPI teams to ensure precision, quality compliance, and continuous improvement of machining processes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up jobs on CNC milling machines and read/interpret CNC programs and technical drawings.
• Generate 2D and 3D toolpaths using CAM software.
• Perform quality inspections to verify dimensional and surface‑finish requirements.
• Maintain and update cutting‑tool inventory and schedule daily machining activities.
• Collaborate with NPD/NPI teams on tool reviews before machining.
• Execute autonomous maintenance and adhere to 5S workplace standards.
• Ensure work meets all quality regulations and basic cost/budget measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Proven ability to generate both 2D and 3D toolpaths.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and oral communication, with the ability to work well in a team.
