Communications & PR Manager – NGO

About the role

The Communications & PR Manager will design and drive an integrated communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement strategy that advances inABLE’s growth objectives, strengthens its brand leadership and raises visibility of digital accessibility and disability inclusion programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated communications and stakeholder engagement strategy aligned with organisational growth, fundraising and advocacy priorities.
• Manage media relations, brand‑building campaigns and reputation, including crisis communications, to enhance visibility of digital accessibility and disability inclusion initiatives.
• Oversee development communication, storytelling and knowledge management, producing reports, articles, multimedia content and digital campaigns.
• Lead digital communications, ensuring accessible website and social media channels, using analytics to refine content strategy and build online communities of champions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years progressive experience in strategic communications, public relations or development communication, preferably in NGOs or international development.
• Proven ability to design and implement communications strategies that support growth, fundraising and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong media relations, thought‑leadership and crisis‑communication experience.

• Ability to translate data and evidence into compelling impact narratives.
