Consultant – Mid-Term Review of GEF ID 10932 Transparency Brazil Project

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the mid‑term review of the GEF ID 10932 Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency Brazil (DataClima+). This home‑based assignment will support UNEP’s Climate Change Division in evaluating project performance and informing future actions.

Key responsibilities

• Design the mid‑term review methodology in coordination with the Task Manager.
• Collect and analyse project data, stakeholder inputs, and implementation records.
• Prepare a comprehensive review report, including findings, lessons learned, and recommendations.
• Ensure alignment with GEF guidelines and the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and partner Funbio throughout the review process.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing mid‑term or end‑term reviews of climate‑related projects.
• Familiarity with GEF processes, the Paris Agreement transparency requirements, and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multinational stakeholders.
