Content & Social Media Specialist (Full-time, Nairobi)

About the role

Classic Explorers is looking for a creative Content & Social Media Specialist to join its Nairobi team. You will craft engaging stories that showcase the company’s safari experiences across East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, while maintaining the brand’s voice and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, edit and publish content for the website, blog, email campaigns and all social media channels.
• Plan and execute social‑media calendars, schedule posts and engage with the community by responding to comments and inquiries.
• Collaborate with tour consultants, drivers and operations staff to gather stories, photos and video footage for use in marketing materials.
• Monitor analytics, generate performance reports and optimise content based on data insights.
• Support digital‑marketing initiatives such as promotions, campaigns and partnership content.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in content creation and social‑media management, preferably in travel or hospitality.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Tourism or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in tourism, wildlife or adventure travel.
• Ability to work on‑site in Nairobi, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Lightroom, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Photoshop and Canva.
• Experience managing Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn platforms.
• Familiarity with content‑scheduling tools and social‑media management platforms.
• Basic knowledge of SEO, email‑marketing best practices and digital‑advertising concepts.
• Competence with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for documentation and reporting.
