Converting Machine Operator

About the role

The Converting Machine Operator is responsible for achieving daily production targets while ensuring product quality, controlling waste, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role involves managing the machine, supervising shift activities, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Meet set quantity targets for each product while adhering to quality parameters.
• Maintain cleanliness of crates, rolls and the machine area; ensure proper housekeeping.
• Monitor and record waste, keeping it within allowable limits and reporting excess waste.
• Accurately fill conversion data for each reel and verify correct reel usage.
• Check tail‑sealing glue consistency and stickiness before production.
• Perform autonomous maintenance according to schedule, tagging abnormalities and documenting actions.
• Notify maintenance staff promptly of breakdowns and communicate downtime details to supervisors and managers.
• Assist maintenance in restoring machine functionality as quickly as possible.

Required profile

• At least 24 months (2 years) of experience operating converting machines (senior level).
• Proven ability to manage shift responsibilities, including machine supervision and area housekeeping.
• Familiarity with autonomous maintenance procedures and waste‑control practices.
• Strong attention to quality standards and documentation requirements.
