Demand Planning Officer

About the role
We are seeking a Demand Planning Officer to join our Warehouse and Logistics team in Nairobi. The role supports demand planning, inventory replenishment and purchase order coordination to ensure timely supply of materials for business operations.
Key responsibilities
- Create, manage and track purchase orders for materials and components required for production and projects.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, resolve discrepancies and maintain effective relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels, initiate replenishment actions and reduce stockouts or excess inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, changes and material‑related issues.
- Enter and update order details in the integrated supply chain system, ensuring correct pricing, quantities and schedules.
- Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, including incorrect items, delayed deliveries and quality concerns.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant industry standards.
- Analyse sales trends and demand patterns to support forecasting and safety stock processes.
Required profile
- Recognised degree in Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning or procurement coordination.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret sales trends and stock data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with integrated supply chain systems and accurate data maintenance.
- Ability to use reporting tools for analysis and reporting.
