About the role
CARE’s Fleet Transformation Project aims to create a safer, more efficient, and sustainable fleet operation across the organization. The Project Manager will lead the implementation of a global fleet technology solution, coordinating with functional and technical leads, change managers, and implementation partners. This role ensures the new fleet technology is adopted throughout CARE’s diverse global operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
- Prioritize and oversee implementation, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and effective resource use.
- Monitor workstream activities, provide regular status reports on progress, finances, risks, and issues in line with CARE’s PMO guidelines.
- Identify, document, and mitigate risks and issues, escalating challenges and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve blockers.
- Support program governance, preparing materials for steering committee reviews and approvals.
- Promote project‑management best practices, share examples, and support training initiatives, leveraging AI tools such as Copilot.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, logistics, business administration or related field.
- Project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of project‑management experience, including at least one major technology implementation.
- Experience working in large, geographically dispersed organisations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills across cultures and time zones.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Use of AI applications such as Copilot to enhance project efficiency.
- Knowledge of waterfall or hybrid project‑management methodologies.
- Experience with project‑management tools and reporting dashboards.
- Ability to create high‑impact presentations and written communications.
